With more than 20 years of professional experience, Bernardo has represented first line foreign financial institutions in their transactions with the Colombian private and public sectors, including transactions such as the renegotiation of the syndicated loans with Metro de Medellín and the biggest part of the lease and financing transactions of aircraft and aircraft equipment with Colombian airlines.

In the subject of M&A, Bernardo has also advised some of the largest deals in this country such as the acquisition of El Cerrejón.

Bernardo is internationally recognised as an outstanding transactional lawyer for his always proactive, constructive and precise attitude, as well as for his clarity of mind.

He is a lawyer from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá and holds an LL.M. in international business law from the London School of Economics.
