Catalina is a partner of Rodriguez & Cavelier, having joined the firm in 2004.
With more than 20 years’ experience in
aviation law, Catalina is among the leading experts in this field in Latinamerica.
Catalina has held positions such as Director of the Air Transportation Office for the Colombian Aviation Authority, counsel to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), and participated in the drafting and updating of the Colombian Aviation Regulations, the negotiation of bilateral air transport treaties, as well as the drafting of the Andean Community Regulations on Air Transport.
She was also Secretary General and Legal Director of Aces and Director of International and Governmental Affairs of “Alianza Summa” (strategic alliance Avianca-Sam-Aces).
In addition, Catalina holds a Ph.D. in international economic law from the University of Constanz with a focus on air transportation making her an authority in this field in Colombia, which has enabled her to efficiently advise various airlines on these matters.
She also holds a post Ph.D. in antitrust law from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. Catalina earned her law degree at the University Externado de Colombia.
