Hernán is a partner of Rodriguez & Cavelier, having joined the Firm back in 1995. At present he is head of the energy and natural resources practice area.

Hernán has participated in some of the most important hydrocarbons, mining and infrastructure projects in Colombia including ports, railways and oil refineries, and has been actively involved in M&A transactions, especially in the mining industry.

He holds an LL.M. in commercial and international law from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a law degree and a specialization in telecommunications law from Universidad Javeriana, and is recognized as a skilful and balanced negotiator.
